Preliminary instructions

You need all the parts from 'Pack 10, the assembled plate from the previous step, the leadscrew, and the Z motor.
Motor
NEMA 17
Put the flexible coupler on the motor shaft, but do not tighten it yet.
Use the three long M3 screws (S3-50) to attach the motor to the Z motor plate, on the same side as the bearing. Use one longer and one shorter spacer on each screw (D3-12 and D3-15). Use the three holes at the corners of the plate; do not use the hole near the larger oval holes. There are no washers on the M3 screws.
NEMA 23
Put the flexible coupler on the motor shaft, but do not tighten it yet.
Put a washer (W5) on each screw (S5-70). Insert them through the three holes in the corners of the plate, from the side opposite the bearing. Put one longer and one shorter spacer on each screw (D5-16a, D15-12a). Offer the motor. Put a washer and a nut (N5) on each screw. Align the bearing with the coupler; you'll do more adjustment once you've mounted the MakerSlide. You may rotate the screw in the bearing if tightening the first set screw tends to pull the screw in or push it out.
