These are the lists of parts for the NEMA23 upgrades.

An upgrade purchased with a kit will remove the items with negative quantities from the kit (they are used only for NEMA23 motors). An upgrade kit bought separately is necessarily more expensive, because there are no savings from removing unused parts from the kit.

Note 1: If assembled with the short 18 mm screws and the short 3.18 mm spacers, the NEMA23 motor will not clear the heads of the belt idler bolts. Use the S5-30F flanged screws for the idlers instead of the S5-30 cap screws. Do not use a washer on the motor side of the plate. This configuration is more compact, but it may give unsatisfactory contact between the belt and the belt pulley. A future version of the motor plate will have a second NEMA23 hole pattern, higher up for improved belt contact.

Note 2: The kit includes parts for an alternate configuration that fixes the issue above. Use the long 40 mm screws and the long 25.4 mm spacers to mount the motor. Run the belt on the outside, like on the Y axis. Install the LBA1 belt anchors instead of the LBA parts. Mount the idlers on the back of the rear X plate, in the lower two holes. Use the lower of the two slots in the belt anchors, with the belt tensioner upside down (screw at the bottom). This configuration gives the best contact between the belt and the pulley.

More configurations are possible. For instance, the belt idler wheels can be placed on the bottom two screws attaching the NEMA23 motor to the plate; this requires a different set of spacers (not supplied). The belt goes in the top slot of the LBA1 anchors.

Y Axis NEMA23 Upgrade

The part counts are for two Y motors.

The assembly is practically the same as the NEMA17 version. Use one of each kind of spacer on each long screw.
