and MakerSlide Availability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new batch of MakerSlide is being manufactured. \u00a0It takes a few weeks to extrude, anodize and cut it. \u00a0Tentatively, the delivery date has been set to the end of July. \u00a0The MakerSlide will go in the store as soon as it arrives.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, MakerSlide is the long lead time component for the eShapeOko kits too. \u00a0The kits will be back on sale a few days after MakerSlide arrives. \u00a0I have decided not to take pre-orders for this batch of eShapeOko kits, for several reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There will be more than enough kits to meet demand, so everybody will get theirs. \u00a0It will not make any difference if you pre-order now, or simply order when available again: your kit is still going to ship at the same time.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 15px;\">For this batch, I didn&#8217;t need the cash from the pre-orders to pay some of the suppliers. \u00a0I have already ordered the expensive parts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>One of the purposes of pre-ordering was to allow me to gauge demand. \u00a0I think I understand it now.<\/li>\n<li>I plan to overhaul the store over the next few weeks, possibly starting afresh, with new software. \u00a0It would make my life easier if I didn&#8217;t have to migrate a lot of open orders to a new store.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I will make a new version of the camera slider at the same time. \u00a0Like the MakerSlide, it will be available in 1000 mm, 1400 mm and 2000 mm.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sharedaddy sd-sharing-enabled\"><div
