today. \u00a0They are very good! \u00a0Cosmetically, they don&#8217;t look much, but the precision is excellent. \u00a0The hole for the eccentric spacer is the only one with a tight tolerance. \u00a0I&#8217;ve measured a few of them, and they are all 7.14 mm, according to my calipers (the nominal dimension <em>is<\/em> 7.14 mm). \u00a0The eccentric spacers fit very snugly. \u00a0The other holes are cut to very good tolerances too, much better than the quoted \u00b10.1 mm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/amberspyglass.co.uk\/blog\/2012\/10\/12\/laser-parts-arrived\/laser_cut_steel_detail\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-61\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-61 alignleft\" &#8220;nubs&#8221; or other cutting problems (this is the bottom side; the other side is even cleaner). \u00a0The only minor problem is the occasional splash mark, but that&#8217;s just ugly &#8212; or a reminder of the science-fiction-like technology used to produce these parts: that is molten stainless steel splashed there, while being cut by an ultra-fine, computer-guided lightsaber.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/amberspyglass.co.uk\/blog\/2012\/10\/12\/laser-parts-arrived\/laser_cut_aluminium_detail\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-62\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-62\" title=\"Laser-cut aluminium belt tensioner\" src=\"http:\/\/amberspyglass.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/laser_cut_aluminium_detail-150x101.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"101\" around the cut on one side, and I am going to try to remove that before they get to you (because it&#8217;s embarrassing). \u00a0Before you ask, the round cutout is off-center by design.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re still waiting for the very last item, the spindle mounts, due &#8220;early next week&#8221;.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sharedaddy sd-sharing-enabled\"><div
