I have a delivery of MakerSlide coming in tomorrow. I don’t have an estimated time yet (and the date isn’t guaranteed by the transport company, so there’s a small chance they might arrive on Thursday instead).

I’m thrilled to see if the shipment arrives today.
On an unrelated note: I’d like to know what your take is on the ShapeOko 2. How does it compare to eShapeOko?
We already know that some of the improvements on it came from eShapeOko. Is there something else new that might be worth carrying over to eShapeOko? The tool carrier plate maybe?
thanks
Kevin
The eShapeoko already includes most Shapeoko 2 improvements over the original Shapeoko. The main differences are:
– The much thicker motor plates, which I think are too heavy.
– The inverted Z axis, which is a great improvement in rigidity over the original Shapeoko. However, the eShapeoko already has a much improved Z axis, and the Shapeoko 2 arrangement isn’t without disadvantages (clearance problems, less favourable leverage). I do not plan to adopt it as a standard option.
– GT2 pulleys and belts. I can’t make the switch yet, but email me (through the store contact form) if you’d like a kit without belts and pulleys.
Question: will both hardened and ordinary makerslide arive or just the ordinary?
Great job!
Hard anodized MakerSlide in about three weeks; I’ll make an “official” announcement later.
