The Equivalent Parts column lists the part number of the equivalent part of the original ShapeOko (in parentheses if the parts are similar in form or function, but not identical). The few Bnnnnn part numbers are Buildlog.net part numbers.
Note that, in early kits, EM-D3-15 (15/16" spacer) was substituted with one EM-D3-12 (3/4" spacer) plus 3 × EM-W3N (1/16" washer) due to long lead time on the EM-D3-15.
Kits delivered before March 2013 have regular nylon spacers (EM-D5-04, EM-D5-12, EM-D5-16) throughout. From March 2013 onwards, X carriage spacers are thicker (EM-D5-04a, EM-D5-12a, EM-D5-16a), for added rigidity.
What is not in the kit:
- Three stepper motors;
- Electronics to drive the motors;
- A waste board to mount the machine on (minimum size: 550mm x 420mm).
Also included but not in the table yet: four brackets and four screws to attach the machine to the waste board.
Dual-Y option
The Dual-Y option includes the parts needed to add a second Y motor.

Short Kit
The Original Length option gives you the same length of MakerSlide on Y as on X, which is the standard configuration of the original ShapeOko. The two EM-R-495 are replaced by two more EM-R-375, and the EM-B-700 by one more EM-B-580. If you order the short kit with the dual Y upgrade, you will get another EM-B-580 instead of another EM-B-700.
The minimum size of the waste board for the short machine is 430mm x 420mm.
Dual X Kit
This, together with the base kit, allows you to build a deeper X carriage with eight V-wheels instead of four, which runs on two back-to-back MakerSlide rails. It gives additional rigidity, and it is a good upgrade to have for a heavy spindle.
The dual-X option with no extra rail includes everything below except the EM-R-375 (375mm MakerSlide), so you need your own rail.

The spare washers may be needed for adjustment, or for an alternate configuration as will be described in the assembly instructions.
In older kits, the dual-X option did not remove the few components needed only for single X. There would be eight spacers and six screws left over after assembly. Current kits no longer include these components:
