This is a set of two EM-LBA belt anchor plates, made of 2 mm stainless steel. They bolt to the ends of a piece of MakerSlide rail, and serve as anchors for the ends of an open-ended belt. The anchor plates have a slot for the belt, which positions it parallel and very close to the narrow face of the MakerSlide profile, with the teeth facing the rail. The anchor plates work with MXL and GT2 belt up to 6.35 mm (0.25") wide.
The anchor plates are designed to be used with our belt clamps and belt tensioner. In addition to the pair of anchor plates, one set of belt clamps and one belt tensioner are required for each belt. They are not included and must be purchased separately. No fasteners are included with the belt anchor plates.
We also have a pair of belt anchor plates for running the belt to one side of the rail, in one of two positions.
If you are using our end plates, please note that they already have slots for the belt, so this product is not needed for the rail mounted to the end plates (in the eShapeoko, that would be the Y axis). You only need only a set of belt clamps and a belt tensioner for each belt.
Please note that the eShapeoko kit already includes a pair of these for the X axis.
Where space is at a premium, or belt tightness is not critical, our buckle-type belt anchors are a very compact alternative to this system.
