Belt tensioner kit

This is an EM-LBT belt tensioner, make of 4 mm aluminium alloy.  It is installed at one end of a belt, and gives an easy, stable and very firm adjustment of belt tension, by turning a single screw.  The screw is included, but the hole it goes in needs to be tapped (with the same tap used for MakerSlide, M5 × 0.8mm).

The belt tensioner is designed to work with either of our slot-type anchor plates (belt-on-top and belt-on-the-outside), as well as directly with our end plates (no belt anchor plates needed).  In addition to a tensioner, you need a set of belt clamps for each belt.

Please note that the eShapeoko kit already includes three of these.

Where space is at a premium, or belt tightness is not critical, our buckle-type belt anchors are a very compact alternative to this system.
